Our Little Angel

Madelynn Joan was born in the middle of a pandemic to two very loving parents. We had great big hopes and dreams for our little girl. She soon won over everyone she met with her infectious smile.

The first big hurdle Maddie had to clear, was COVID-19 in the fall of 2020. This was a five month battle that left her weak and behind developmentally. Her post COVID-19 delay and rehabilitation, led her to the front page of the USA Today.

A year later however, things were not getting better for our Maddie. In fact, Maddie soon developed seizures. After a round of genetic testing, Maddie was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome.

While we educated ourselves as well as we could, Maddie suffered a medical emergency. On August 30, 2023 Maddie passed away. She donated 5 organs, and saved two lives. Our mission is to honor the memory of our daughter. Our hearts and minds are with the Angelman Syndrome community, as well as with those who have lost their child.
